WELLINGTON, Florida, Feb. 14, 2016–Virginia Yarur Ready on Finn won the Adequan Global Dressage Festival Intermwediate I Freestyle Sunday to become the first Chilean rider to win an open international dressage event at the world’s premier winter circuit.

Virginia and Finn, the top finishing combination for Chile at the 2015 Pan American Games, scored 71.550 per cent for the victory.

Germany’s Michael Klimke on Royal Dancer was runner-up on 70.975 per cent and Canada’s Tina Irwin on Fancy That third on 70.275 per cent.

This was the second victory for Virginia and the 11-year-old Rhinelander gelding in North America–the first at a CDI1* in Canada in preparation for the Pan Ams where the pair placed 12th overall in the field of both Big and Small Tour combinations.

Virginia is in her second year competing at the Global winter circuit with Finn that she has been riding for seven years and plans to move up to the Grand Prix this year with the help of her trainer, Yvonne Losos de Muñiz of the Dominican Republic who is at the top of the rankings to qualify in the South American group for a start at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
